Echoes of Love

"If these words and melodies can heal just one fractured heart — so they can breathe again with joy for life — then their voices will have done what they were always meant to do."

right side brain

Six poems. Written by Grace in 2017 for a school project. At the time, words on a page — vivid, imaginative, deeply felt.

This is where her inner creative world lives. Childhood summers and black and white photographs. Freckles mapped like constellations. A titanium bird taking flight. The backyard where time felt infinite. Bitterness transformed into self-belief.

The right side of her brain, spilling out in raw form — exactly as she described it. The beginning of the journey. And the proof that her voice was always extraordinary.

"She was every hue that was kissed by the sun."

Born from Grace's journals, private writings and later poetry — words she kept close.

Where her earlier work held colour and dream, these writings explored the world pressing in on her inner life. Love, identity, body, power, silence, survival and war. Seventeen songs. Each one shaped from her own words, her own voice, her own way of seeing.

Nothing was invented. Everything was already there, waiting to be heard.

Hippocampus

 Hippocampus — Memories and Musings

Hippocampus is a collection of songs shaped from Grace Ann King’s journals, private writings, later poetry, and the voices of those who loved her.

Where Right Side Brain opened the door to Grace’s imagination, and Left Side Brain explored the world pressing in on her inner life, Hippocampus gathers the long-term memories — the words kept close, the reflections left behind, and the tributes spoken by family at her service.

This album is about the power of music to unlock memory. A letter, a poem, a tribute, a line written years ago — each becomes a doorway back to feeling. Through these songs, voices from the past are carried gently into the present, not to hold grief still, but to let love keep moving.

Some songs are Grace’s own words. Some are built from the words of her brother, her Nana, and the people who knew her as daughter, sister, granddaughter, friend and guide. Together, they form a living archive of memory, love, loss, pride, tenderness and legacy.

Nothing here is invented. Everything begins with words already written, spoken or remembered. AI-assisted tools help shape the sound, but the heart remains human: Grace’s voice, her family’s love, and the enduring belief that memory can become music.

Hippocampus honours the past so it can continue to speak to the present.
